I feel like Endymion is the pushover parent.
This scene, especially the quote about having the strength to stand up on your own, is very beautiful and inspiring. That’s really something any loving parent wants for their child. Sometimes a parent needs to be firm and do something that makes their child angry with them with the knowledge that it’s all for ensuring that their child grows up to be a healthy, well-adjusted adult. And I think Chibiusa has some pretty wonderful parents, indeed! ;)

I can’t get over how in-character everyone is in this scene. I love it to BITS
- Mars is wary (and when she’s sweat-dropping over a monster you KNOW you in troubs)
- Sailor Moon is freaking out
- Jupiter is like LETS DO THIS IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I’VE KICKED SOME ASS I’M GETTING RUSTY
- Mercury is having an inappropriately-timed techno-geekgasm over the giant-screen crystal-based security system “freaking sweet set-up you got here, King” (I really wanted him to be like, “well, you designed it” [IN MY HEAD THIS HAPPENED])
All we need is Venus messing up a proverb or talking about how hot she is and then we’ve got ourselves a perfect set!
So then Tuxedo Kamen and King Endymion share Meaningful Glares.
And I can’t. Like. the I Created a Fandom World In My Head side of me is still harping on the idea that these men do not like each other (apparently I like giving Mamoru issues galore). Because this isn’t about him, it’s about her and holy shit the intensity and I’m not even making this up they animated that RIGHT INTO THE SHOW. Mamoru’s face changes visibly from when he’s watching Sailor Moon reunite with the girls to when he looks up and meets Endymion’s gaze. I only know this because I was screencapping at the time and trying to catch the ‘pause’ button at the right time, but I was like DAMN.
I don’t care what anyone says, this is good TV.
Okay, disliking your future self is ONLY SOMETHING MAMORU CAN DO.

Timeline of Crystal Tokyo (Manga)
In the second arc/season of Sailor Moon, we are given a glimpse into the utopian future known as Crystal Tokyo, ruled by the future forms of Usagi and Mamoru, Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion respectively. This answered the question of what happens to our beloved Senshi after the series, but also left questions. The biggest question fans have regarding Crystal Tokyo is the timeline in between the 21st and 30th Century. The answer is different in both the anime and the manga, so I’m going to gather the evidence separately.
Manga:
In Act 19 of the manga, King Endymion tells us this very valuable information. Here are two different translations, from the original and the reprint.

Neo-Queen Serenity ascended to the throne in the 21st Century at age 22, and gave birth to Chibiusa that same year. After these events, Usagi/Serenity ceased to age and the era of Crystal Tokyo began. This means that Crystal Tokyo has existed since the 21st Century, making Usagi, Mamoru, and the city as a whole at least 9 centuries old.
Chibiusa’s age supports this:
In the very last act of Sailor Moon, after the Galaxy has been saved and Usagi reunited with her loved ones, we see this:
This implies that Crystal Tokyo is being built at that moment.
We then jump to the much-anticipated wedding of Usagi and Mamoru, complete with the 8 Senshi as bridesmaids. Usagi then says something very important;
Usagi is saying that she is pregnant with Chibiusa. Remember, Usagi ascended to the throne and gave birth to Chibiusa at age 22. Despite the jump to the wedding, and how it seems it happened right away, at the very least the wedding occurred at least four years after the events of Stars. Usagi is 16/17 when she saves the galaxy. At the very least, she’s 21 when she gets married because it would have taken 9 months for Chibiusa to be born, by which point Usagi would have already turned 22.
That’s just what I believe happened, based on the events of the manga. The anime version is next!

Page three of twelve for the second comic that I’m translating, Gathering. This page was pretty easy to translate. About 90% of it was katakana. :D
[LOCATION] Crystal Tokyo & Crystal Palace.
For reasons unknown, the Earth was frozen sometime after the 20th century. In the 30th century, Neo Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to awaken everyone. She and her husband King Endymion then built the capital of the future world, Crystal Tokyo (クリスタル・トーキョー). This era was known as the New Silver Millennium.
Peace was broken when evil beings attacked. The enemy was ultimately defeated, and Neo Queen Serenity offered to purify anyone who wished to stay. Those who refused left Earth.
Later, the Black Moon Clan of Nemesis launched an assault on Crystal Tokyo and the Crystal Palace (クリスタル・パレス). The queen was directly harmed during the ordeal and the kingdom was left in ruins. The future Inner Senshi combined their powers to protect the catatonic Serenity, and to raise a barrier around the palace.
Although King Endymion was also injured, his hologram was able to run the palace’s control room. In episode 82, the present day Sailor Team and Tuxedo Mask traveled to the future with Chibiusa. In the next episode, King Endymion informed them of what happened and how the New Silver Millennium came to be.
The only way to save Neo Queen Serenity was to find the future Silver Crystal. Just before the Black Moon Clan struck, the heirloom disappeared from its sacred altar. Small Lady used Luna P to unlock the safeguard that housed the crystal.
From an aerial view, the city formed a five pointed star. Various areas that generated high amounts of Crystal Power were called Crystal Points (クリスタル・ポイント). The Black Moon Clan tried to corrupt these locations in the past, hoping to prevent Crystal Tokyo from ever being built.
With the two Silver Crystals, Usagi (as Neo Queen Serenity) and Small Lady destroyed Death Phantom. Crystal Tokyo was restored to its original prominence.
In the manga, Crystal Tokyo was born in the 21st century. Humans stopped aging because of the Silver Crystal. King Endymion and the Sailor Senshi guarded both the palace and the queen. Small Lady was given her own set of guardians - the Sailor Quartet.
