Haruka wears a white tux again in ep 108

I really like the design of Michiru’s dress but I don’t think yellow suits her. It clashes with her hair too much. That’s why I like how they gave the dress a redesign in episode 108 (like with Haruka’s tux)!

I fucking LOVE how they put these little dance steps in Neptune’s transformation and “Deep Submerge”. Everytime it appears, I giggle to myself (not creepy, nanana) and totally enjoy it. It fits so much. Eg. at the end of her transformation this thing when she treads first with one foot and then the other. Or when she spreads and closes her legs while holding Neptune ove her head, ACTUALLY unnecessary. But it’s her character. Uranus? Doesn’t need this. Is more direct. But Neptune? Sashays around.

Huh, I never noticed that. I just went and took a look again, and yeah, that’s kind of fantastic. I see it particularly with the attack:

Her henshin and attacks are loaded with all these little flourishes (that little leg split thing in Deep Submerge, which actually looks like it’s as likely to trip her up as anything), which do wonders to subconsciously give you notes about and impressions of the characters.

There’s probably a really interesting series waiting to be written here, taking a fine-toothed comb through the body language of the transformations and the each of the attacks.

OMG THIS IS SO PERFECT

I actually have this headcanon where Michiru used to be a ballerina. She’s very graceful and her Senshi shoes resemble ballet slippers.

Okay, now I am completely convinced she was a ballerina and nobody can tell me different.
