This is from one of Naoko Takeuchi’s other series, PQ Angels. Doesn’t he look like a younger, sassier Mamoru?
Two more Sailor Moon references in PQ Angels; in chapter 3, a girl mentions “the Princess of the moon” and in the same chapter, we see two girls who appear to be cosplaying Sailors Moon and Mercury.
Naoko Takeuchi seems to love referencing her other works; in the very first chapter of PQ Angels, we see a little girl reading a Sailor Moon manga, specifically the chapter in the Black Moon Arc where Pluto stops time.
PQ Angels- Such an adorable series!! It’s such a shame Kodansha lost her original manuscript, which caused her to drop the whole series; there are only four chapters.
Out of all of her unfinished works, I felt like this one had the most potential.
Fun fact: the character of P-ko (Also known as Peanut; real name is Piiko Rakkasei) is VERY similar to the character of Usagi Tsukino and the character of Q-ko (also known as Cucumber; real name is Kyuuko Nigauri) is very similar to the character of Rei Hino!
