Sailor Moon astrology: Aries (March 21 - April 20)
Aries is the star sign of the passionate miko Rei Hino, who was born on April 17th. The ruling planet of Aries is Mars. Her sign suits her very well! In addition, Aries is a fire sign. Like fire, Rei is energetic and unpredictable. Without further ado, here are the positive and negative traits associated with Aries:

All of these traits certainly fit Rei, don’t they?
Firstly, Rei is extremely independent. Before she met the other girls, Rei was very solitary. She seemed to be admired at school but yet spent nearly all of her time alone. Even after joining the Sailor Team, Rei retains an independent streak, most notably seen in the manga side story “Casablanca Memory,” where she doesn’t even tell Usagi and Ami when her birthday is. Although as the series wears on Rei becomes much more involved with and dependent on her friends and teammates, she still retains a self-sufficient streak.
Perhaps Rei’s most notable characteristic is her passion. Rei exhibits great passion in everything she does, tying in with her role as the “Soldier of Passion.” We see this passion in the anime especially, where Rei seems to be overflowing with energy and ideas on who she wants be and what her dreams are. Rei’s passionate nature extends to others as well; in the episode where she receives her Super power-up, she encourages Nanako, a young girl who arrived at the shrine trying to emulate Rei (as she felt her own dreams were worthless and decided to follow Rei’s instead) to follow her dreams and chase after them with as much passion as she could muster. Enthusiasm clearly plays a role in this passion, as Rei plunges herself wholeheartedly into everything she does with great enthusiasm.
We also see that Rei is very optimistic. Even in the face of great adversary (in some cases, even when the world itself is crumbling around her) Rei refuses to give up hope and continues to fight for what she believes in and for the sake of her loved ones. Courage is connected to this optimism. She has never demonstrated any fear while fighting and often charges headfirst into battle (sometimes with less than savory results).
Now, onto the negative traits. While Rei isn’t as moody as some of the other characters (Usagi comes to mind) she can still be prone to mood swings and the like. As for being short-tempered, Rei is extremely so in the anime. This is usually aimed at Usagi, whom Rei more often than not finds exasperating. The tiniest things can set Rei off, which is usually played for laughs within the series.
Rei is admittedly somewhat self-involved (aka selfish). A great example of this is during the Doom Tree arc, where Rei sets up an entire school festival just so she could feature herself as the star singer. In a way, this selfishness is connected to her passion, as when she sets her sights on something (or someone), she dedicates herself fully to obtaining it.
Moving on, throughout the series, we see quite a bit of impulsiveness in Rei. A reoccurring (and humorous) element in the anime is Rei firing off her attacks at the first sign of danger (think “shoot first, ask questions later”), sometimes to disastrous results. Rei is a person who is driven primarily by her passion and emotions and, as such, often gives into her first impulses. Finally, we see an impatient streak within Rei. She’s a girl who knows what she wants and doesn’t want to wait for it. Rei lives in the now and often finds it difficult to see things beyond the immediate scope. This adds to her impatience.
In a nutshell, Aries are very passionate and confident as well as being natural-born leaders. They are vibrant, exciting, adventurous, and truly loyal friends. Aries will fight for what they believe is right with much vigor and determination and are driven by an intense desire to succeed. Aries take down any obstacles that may come their way and blaze ahead like fire.
Clearly this is the sign that fits Rei the best!
