Usagi winds up insulting Umino to make Naru feel better, but Naru’s just “NO YOU DID NOT, HE IS AWESOME” so she stomps off home.
It could go two ways, too. She might have been offended personally, because the implication is also that if nobody would be into him then there’s something weird that Naru is.
But no. Naru doesn’t even think that. She only hears the insult to Umino and gets pissed on his behalf. Because if you can’t see what’s amazing about Umino then Naru just does not even need to waste her time with you.
And that is awesome. Naru ♥
It’s always hilarious to me how Naru went from Nephrite (a handsome and mature man) to Umino (a nerdy and still pretty juvenile in some respects). Still, though, it’s obvious that they love each other and their relationship has always been very sweet to me.
So this douche shows up and speaks English at Usagi when she answers the door and then acts all perplexed when she panics like where the fuck do you think you are Piccadilly Circus?! Shall I fetch you a SCONE? NO FUCKER YOU ARE IN JAPAN SPEAK JAPANESE TO THE TEENAGE JAPANESE GIRL WHO ANSWERED THE DOOR TO THE APARTMENT IN JAPAN WHERE YOU ARE YOU GIANT MUSTACHIOED TROLL
In other news, Usagi is adorable and exactly how I react when trying to speak Japanese. “I AM NOT EIGO NO NO NO!!”
I love how this man was supposed to be an Englishman in every sense of the word but speaks with an incredibly thick Japanese accent.
