I know! I love how hearts are a reoccurring motif on her!
First, obviously, are her odango-

And her mouth, like you said

And, as said by Naoko Takeuchi herself in the Materials Collection, her bangs form a heart on her forehead

And, of course, she has all sorts of heart accessories even when she’s not in her Senshi form (her earrings, brooch, and on her shoes)
This is from the extremely rare Infinity Artbook, a collection of Sailor Moon artwork published personally by Naoko Takeuchi herself. It contains artwork by various (and some very famous) mangaka, Naoko’s friends, staff members, and others. This was a project that was clearly very dear to Naoko’s heart.
Anyway, this particular picture was made by Madoka Ohmori, who was Naoko’s assistant, hence why their styles are so similar.
I love this panel. Eternal Sailor Moon protecting Sailor Chibi Chibi and Sailor Galaxia. Despite the fact that Galaxia is her enemy (not to mention the fact she was trying to murder her earlier), she has fainted and Usagi refuses to stand by and allow a defenseless person to get killed. So she protects Galaxia with the only thing she has left: Her body.
I also love how Usagi is holding Chibi Chibi. It’s so protective and maternal. She’s holding Chibi Chibi close to her chest and is clutching her tightly. Throughout the Stars arc, it’s clear that Usagi has very strong nurturing and protective instincts towards the little girl and mothers her. It’s different from her relationship with Chibiusa; not better or worse, just different.
This panel is powerful because it shows that not only is she willing to sacrifice her body for Chibi Chibi, the child who is now all she has left, she is willing to sacrifice it for the villain who is the one who stole everything away from her in the first place.
Today’s featured hairstyle is ChibiChibi’s hair, seen throughout Stars. ChibiChibi first appears in episode 182, Invasion from Space! Seiren Comes Flying in.
ChibiChibi’s hair closely resembles that of Usagi and Chibiusa. While Usagi’s odangoes are round and Chibiusa’s are more pointed, ChibiChibi’s are heart shaped. Rather than having long or thick hair coming out from the odangoes like the other two, ChibiChibi has ringlets. Just like Usagi and Chibiusa, while in her Sailor Senshi form she has odango covers.
Many characters throughout Stars note how similar ChibiChibi seems to Usagi, not only in appearance but also in aura. Although this would seem to suggest some connection between the two, in the anime there really is little relation— ChibiChibi is actually connected with Sailor Galaxia rather than Sailor Moon (as she is in the manga).
Despite this, ChibChibi does take on a form that even more closely resembles Sailor Moon, long flowing hair and all. This is known as the Light of Hope in the anime, and although only seen in silhouette, it looks very much like Sailor Cosmos from the manga.
Perhaps ChibiChibi came to Usagi in the way she did because she admired Usagi, so wanted to resemble her in some way. Alternatively, she could have been trying to fill the void left by Chibiusa— not only for Usagi, but for her family, who may have forgotten Chibiusa but still sensed her absence.
THIS IS PERFECT
MOLTO BENE
