a lot of these “reblog if you care” posts strike me as exploitative in a way, too. There are usually photos of real people suffering being circled around the ‘net and it makes me kinda uncomfortable.

SAME!! Like I’ve seen posts that exploit other people heavily; for example, I’ve seen one of someone posting a picture of their little sister/cousin/whatever and being like “SHE DOESN’T THINK SHE’S BEAUTIFUL, REBLOG IF YOU THINK SHE’S BEAUTIFUL” and I just feel uncomfortable having a child being exploited like that…?

I remember one post where someone posted pictures of this boy, saying he was bullied for being trans and that he committed suicide over it. Hilariously, it turned out that this was all fake and the OP apparently just pulled out photos from somewhere on the internet; the boy in the photos HIMSELF reblogged and was like “What is this? I’m not dead and I’ve never been bullied!” He wasn’t even trans! Talk about awkward.

Honestly, just going off of the fact that she’s a college student places her age around 18 to the early twenties. I personally see her as around 19.

it sounds intense but good! I’m like four (million) books behind on my to-read list but I may still check it out. I like sister stories.

Haha, I am a HUGE fan of intense novels. I tend to gravitate towards books that deal with realistic conflict or struggles (eating disorders, friendship troubles, etc). 

And I know what you mean, I’ve bought a bunch of books that I haven’t gotten around to yet due to school AND I’m planning to get a ton more for Christmas! XD My to-read list is way too long.

This is a great analysis you should try to get extra credit for it. :) I wonder sometimes how much of that manga arc was effected by the Japanese cultural view of suicide which differs slightly from a western view. I am ill-equipped to explore that tho

I love it! NQS is so in-character and Small Lady is adorable - warm milk in the middle of the night is relatable, but the little details about the palace and SL’s specific nightmare and NQS’s memories of QS’s advice give canon believability! Perfect!
