Eternal Sailor Moon
This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE scenes in the manga. Usagi is basically hope itself. It’s no wonder she’s the universe’s brightest star!
The contrast between their faces is so touching and sad. Chibi Chibi has the face of a young child who does not quite understand what’s going, while Usagi’s face is filled with the pain and grief of loss.
The tenth and final opening theme of Sailor Moon.
This is my all-time FAVORITE opening!
Don’t give up, everything will be okay after this
Okay, I’m thinking WAY too hard into this, but something about this sort of bugs me (despite the awesomeness and flawlessness that is a Madoka x Sailor Moon crossover).
I just can’t envision Usagi EVER giving up hope or falling into despair. Ever.
Even in the Stars arc, when all of her friends and loved ones are dead (as is the entire freaking galaxy), and with little hope of victory, Usagi NEVER gives up or loses hope.
Even Sailor Cosmos, the Usagi from the very distant, war-torn, and devastated future, hasn’t lost hope. She leaves with the inspiration and courage to continue fighting.
So, tl;dr, I just can’t see Usagi ever needing to be “rescued” by Madoka. They both hold the same amount of love and hope within themselves.
