I just can’t with Dub Himeko. After rewatching the S Movie on the livestream (and after several virtual laughs) THIS GIRL IS TOO MUCH.
But is she a scientist?

- This movie was based on the short story, “Princess Kaguya’s Lover”, from the manga.
- Although Kazuyuki Hashimoto and Tadao Kubota were the animation directors, other familiar directors from the television series were listed as contributors. This includes Katsumi Tamegai, Shinya Hasegawa and Hisashi Kagawa.
- It is believed that the movie’s story took place somewhere around or after episode 122. Sailor Moon acquired the Holy Grail in episode 111, and Setsuna Meiou/Sailor Pluto appeared from episodes 110 to 126. However, winter break was seen in episode 122.
- This was the only instance in the anime where a feline guardian assumed their human form.
- Silver Crystal Power was used for the first and last time.
- The Silver Crystal had a rounded pyramidal shape here.
- When Tuxedo Mask arrived with Sailor Chibimoon at the final battle, Sailor Pluto was shown with shoulder pads.
- Super Sailor Moon’s Cosmic Heart Compacts were still red rather than pink. In her her super form, Sailor Moon’s brooches usually turned pink.
- Himeko Nayotake was played by Megumi Hayashibara, whose roles include Lina Inverse in Slayers, Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop,Rei Ayanami in Neon Genesis Evangelion and female Ranma in Ranma 1/2. Masami Kikuchi, who voiced Kakeru Ozora, returned to play Toshiyuki Nishino in episode 151. Princess Snow Kaguya’s actor, Eiko Masuyama, portrayed Honey Kisaragi in the original Cutey Honey anime.
- In the English version (“Hearts in Ice”), the senshi and Luna’s transformations were all partially censored in the television airing. Most of the soundtrack and scoring used for the R Movie dub was recycled here, and would be heard again in the SuperS Movie. “Moonlight Destiny” was replaced with the English song “Nothing at All”.

[HENSHIN] Luna’s Human Form.
Super Sailor Moon activated the Silver Crystal to defeat Princess Snow Kaguya in the S Movie. The leftover power was able to turn Luna into a human for a short time. This form of Luna was never seen again in the anime.
[ATTACK] Silver Crystal Power.
The Sailor Senshi were outmatched by Princess Snow Kaguya and her army of ice monsters in the S Movie. Super Sailor Moon was going to activate the Silver Crystal. Venus rallied the others so Moon wouldn’t die from using it. Chibimoon, the Inners and Outers (without Saturn) formed a circle around Moon. As they spun around her, their uniforms began to glow and Sailor Moon levitated into the air. This formed a pyramid with the Silver Crystal as the tip and the senshi as the base. A surge of energy released from the crystal, and was met by Kaguya’s own power. The enemy was destroyed, and the residual energy temporarily turned Luna into a human.
The senshi fueled the Silver Crystal’s own strength, and spared Sailor Moon from sacrificing herself again.
