The Senshi Royalty Project (Outer Senshi edition) by Delight046
I especially love how the artist included their castles! She even designed Titan Castle (Saturn’s castle) because it wasn’t shown in the manga.
I bought another Sailor Moon coloring book off of eBay, and it just so happened to have this amazing picture of Saturn! This is one of my personal favorite colorings because it was so much fun to do.

It’s interesting to note that both Sailor Saturn and Sailor Galaxia are known as “The Soldier of Destruction.”
However, it’s clear that Saturn and Galaxia’s methods and types of destruction are very different.
Galaxia’s destruction is of the worst kind, senseless and brutal. She destroys for the sake of destroying, wiping out entire planets without a second thought. This type of destruction is all too common in our world; we’ve seen it throughout history and continue to see it to this day, watching as lives and even entire habitats are obliterated.
But not all destruction is terrible; in fact, the purest form of destruction is actually creation and rebirth, and this is what Sailor Saturn represents. For example, in real life, grasslands need to utilize the destructive power of fire in order to grow; the fire burns down the old vegetation and turns it into nutrients that new plants use to grow. And humanity actually owes our entire existence to one of the most devastating mass extinctions in Earth’s history; had the dinosaurs never been wiped out, mammals wouldn’t have been able to evolve and thrive, eventually leading to the birth of our ancestors. For our world to be born, the old one had to die.
This is exactly what Sailor Saturn’s duty is. She wipes out worlds that have run their course in order to make way for the growth of something new. She’s the exact opposite of Galaxia: A force of nature that utilizes her power for something good instead of something senseless and selfish.
I know that Sailor Galaxia is technically Sailor Moon’s antithesis (and for good reason), but I would have loved to have a showdown between her and Saturn.
Neo Sailor Senshi by AxsenArt
One of my doujinshi features this little bit that takes place after Neptune and Uranus take the infant Hotaru before giving her back to Professor Tomoe. Uranus shows just how unattached she is to Hotaru and how much she doesn’t care… by dressing her up in little bear pajamas.
This is totally how Haruka is with Hotaru when they’re living together as a family. I bet she spends tons of money on cute little clothes that Hotaru quickly outgrows, haha.
Sailor Saturn: Original Fuku
The original fuku appeared in the 3rd season of the anime and in the third and forth arc of the manga. The fuku in both versions are nearly identical and contains the most diverse and different elements for a standard fuku.
If you’re not familiar with the forms pictured, they’re:
- 1st form (manga version)
- 1st form (anime version)
- Super form (manga version)
- Super form (anime version)
- Eternal form

First stop on my collection tour is Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn!
Given what little merchandise there is of Saturn, I’m very happy that I have as much as I do! The Mistress 9 doll is fanmade, however.
