“I am Sailor Saturn. I am your protector.”
I just LOVE the tenderness in Usagi’s eyes during this scene.
She’s just witnessed her four best friends, four of the people she loves the absolute most, sacrifice themselves to save her. They’re gone now. She just found out the love of her life, Mamoru, is also dead. Her entire world is crumbling.
And yet she’s still able to be so nurturing and loving towards Chibi Chibi, one of the few people she has left. Throughout the entire finale, we see her clutching onto the child like she’s some precious artifact she can’t afford to lose. Even though nobody knows Chibi Chibi is the Light of Hope until the very end, Usagi almost seems to sense Chibi Chibi is her hope, something precious that needs to be protected.
Usagi’s maternal nurturing of Chibi Chibi is one of my favorite elements of Stars. It’s so different from the sororal bond she shares with Chibiusa. Just the fact that she can gaze upon Chibi Chibi with such softness and kindness in the midst of all the horror warms my heart. <3
I just think this is really sweet. Taiki turned down Minako’s offers to go to the movies and she’d already bought tickets, so Mako offers to go instead. She’s such a good friend. <33
Too bad the movie was “Adult’s Love XX” XD XD
Oh, crap, I missed this!

True devotion is willingness to see a skin flick with your friend.
