Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!

redundantthinking:

So I was thinking about Queen Nehelenia and what she is in context to Queen Serenity. In the manga, it’s hinted that Nehelenia came from the same origins and her appearance is heavily hinted with the idea of opposite-mirror self (the anime does this again when Nehelania uses her powers to craft…

Awesome theory, Kat! It definitely explains Nehelenia’s obsession with the Queen and how she referred to them as being one in the same.

I like to think of Serenity as the light side of the moon, the side we Earthlings always see and the one that provides us with beauty and light to see during the darkness. Nehelenia is the dark side of the moon; unknown to us, mysterious and frightening.

Timeline of Crystal Tokyo (Manga)

silvermoon424:

In the second arc/season of Sailor Moon, we are given a glimpse into the utopian future known as Crystal Tokyo, ruled by the future forms of Usagi and Mamoru, Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion respectively. This answered the question of what happens to our beloved Senshi after the series, but also left questions. The biggest question fans have regarding Crystal Tokyo is the timeline in between the 21st and 30th Century. The answer is different in both the anime and the manga, so I’m going to gather the evidence separately.

Manga:

In Act 19 of the manga, King Endymion tells us this very valuable information. Here are two different translations, from the original and the reprint.

Neo-Queen Serenity ascended to the throne in the 21st Century at age 22, and gave birth to Chibiusa that same year. After these events, Usagi/Serenity ceased to age and the era of Crystal Tokyo began. This means that Crystal Tokyo has existed since the 21st Century, making Usagi, Mamoru, and the city as a whole at least 9 centuries old.

Chibiusa’s age supports this:

In the very last act of Sailor Moon, after the Galaxy has been saved and Usagi reunited with her loved ones, we see this:

This implies that Crystal Tokyo is being built at that moment.

We then jump to the much-anticipated wedding of Usagi and Mamoru, complete with the 8 Senshi as bridesmaids. Usagi then says something very important;

Usagi is saying that she is pregnant with Chibiusa. Remember, Usagi ascended to the throne and gave birth to Chibiusa at age 22. Despite the jump to the wedding, and how it seems it happened right away, at the very least the wedding occurred at least four years after the events of Stars. Usagi is 16/17 when she saves the galaxy. At the very least, she’s 21 when she gets married because it would have taken 9 months for Chibiusa to be born, by which point Usagi would have already turned 22.

That’s just what I believe happened, based on the events of the manga. The anime version is next!

Sailor Moon community

Lately, I feel like the topic of who Sailor Cosmos is has been dwelt upon too frequently. :/ I’m NOT saying we shouldn’t focus on that topic anymore, or that it’s a bad one, it’s just that there are other theories to discuss out there. Cosmos is not the only ambiguous theory/character, but I feel like the SM community won’t stop focusing on her, leaving many other theories and debates unexplored.

Here is a VERY basic list I whipped up of several theory and debate topics;

  • Who Queen Serenity truly was
  • The origin of Sailor Senshi
  • Sailor Galaxia’s past
  • The past of the Sailor Animamates and how/why they betrayed their planets
  • The origin of the Death Busters and their homeworld, the Tau Nebula
  • Queen Nehenenia’s statements about being related to Queen Serenity
  • How Luna and Artemis got to the moon if they were originally from the planet Mau
  • How Phobos and Deimos became the guardians of Princess/Sailor Mars when they were originally from the planet Coronis
  • How the Galaxy Cauldron was created
  • Who Guardian Cosmos is
  • How the Senshi’s items are created/where they came from
  • The timeframe of Crystal Tokyo

If you have any other theories/topics, reblog and add yours! :D Come on, let’s get some creativity floating! And don’t be afraid to discuss any theories that you have! ^^

(Link to manga version of Crystal Tokyo’s timeline)

In the anime, Crystal Tokyo’s timeline is much less clear. The only information we get is in episode 83, from King Endymion. What follows differs from the manga in many ways.

There are many ways the anime version…

Warning: Very long post ahead!

Who is Sailor Cosmos?

In Act 51 of Sailor Stars, Chibi Chibi finally reverts to her true form, a mysterious and ambiguous Senshi from the far future named Sailor Cosmos. Her true identity has puzzled fans since her debut, and Naoko Takeuchi herself said…

I’m so sick of seeing how people get SO RILED UP over this. Her dialogue was brief and in my opinion, vague. I know the battle of opinions will never die until we know for sure, but honestly. Can’t we talk about other things?

Actually, Takeuchi stated that Sailor Cosmos was supposed to be vague and ambiguous, even to HERSELF.
But I agree. I have my own firm belief that Cosmos is Usagi, but it’s not officially canon because it was never outright stated. NO THEORIES ARE OFFICIALLY CANON, because they were never stated. State your theories in a mature and eloquent way, and don’t try to pass it off as canon. Also, there are so many other theories that can be discussed; don’t just stay on Cosmos!

Not to annoy you guys but I understand. However, Takeuchi-sama has stated it herself at Comic-Con. Unless SMILE mistranslated her interview answers, I stand by that as canon no matter how indirect her statement is.

This is a big reason why I think she’s Usagi. I won’t tell others their opinion is wrong, but this is part of my evidence.

From Wikimoon- “The original Moon Castle was referred to by Neo-Queen Serenity at one point, as she mentioned that Chibiusa was taking lessons there.”

Remember, at the end of the first arc, the Moon Kingdom is revived because of Sailor Moon’s power.

So, this means that Chibiusa is actually taking lessons in the Moon Kingdom? And does THAT mean that people inhabit it now?

You know what’s weird?

moonfanatics:

In seasons R and S, Chibiusa is between the age of 6-8. Which the last season she appears is SuperS, and she was about 12 there…. wtf? Um…. I think it’s because of the crystal xD

I have my own theory.

In the manga, it’s stated that because Small Lady (Chibiusa) is a child of both the Earth and Moon (Endymion and Serenity), her aging process is unknown. The people of the Moon had very long lifespans, while the people of Earth’s were significantly shorter. Combine that with the fact the Ginzuishou halted the aging process, Small Lady was a complete mystery.

After the death of Pluto, she becomes a Soldier and her aging process is jumpstarted again. I believe she begins to age rapidly at this point, to make up for the 900 years she was a child. She needs to grow up fast so she can be a true soldier and princess.

Also, in the anime, I assume that Chibiusa stays in the future for a long time before returning; although she could only be gone a few minutes in the present, she could spend months or years in the future and then just pick that precise moment in the past to return.

I noticed something interesting in the reprint

Look closely at the building in the background…

This looks almost exactly like the future stronghold city Crystal Tokyo, more specifically the Crystal Palace.

What does this mean? Did Neo-Queen Serenity base the Crystal Palace off her past home? No matter what, it’s a very interesting picture!

I believe that the colors on Sailor Cosmos’s skirt represent the 10 senshi

Starting on the left;

Moon, Pluto, Saturn, Chibi Moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Mercury.

In the manga, Usagi’s “image” color is white, and Pluto’s is black.

goldenbluedreams:

I never understood why Queen Serenity put the cats in capsules. Is it because unlike all the others they didn’t die and these capsules will keep them alive until the princess is reborn?

Yes, I think so. Luna and Artemis were still very much alive after Queen Serenity died.

And I see no phage with those. Were they even in the manga? Either there’s a huge plothole here or I missed something.

Well you could look at it like

A) When Galaxia removes someone’s Star Seed, she also severs it completely from their body, and they die, whereas when someone else…

Yeah, those could work. And we have no idea if the Animamates were real senshi in the first place, or if they were just turned into senshi. Thinking about it that way, the whole thing about not having enough power to sever things makes a lot of sense.

Oh fuck, I totally meant to point that out too. The Animamates aren’t real Sailor Soldiers. Galaxia took the Star Seeds from the actual Soldiers of the planets they were from (killing the Soldiers) and put them into the bodies of the Animamates (I assume after taking their original Star Seeds). So in my mind, the bracelets are the only things keeping the Star Seeds in their bodies, and when Galaxia removes them the Star Seed escapes the body and, having no Star Seed, they die.

I always assumed that just like the energy in Galaxia’s bracelets turned the Animamates into fake Senshi, that same dark energy turned humans without their Star Seeds into Phages, also fake Senshi.
